Antelope private ranch hunts are low-key, fun filled adventures.  Antelope hunts are generally 100% successful.  Most bucks taken measure 13 to 15 inches.  It is possible to see hundreds of antelope in a day.  The antelope hunts are strictly spot and stalk hunts.  Vehicles are driven in to strategic locations from which the antelope are spotted; then the pursuit begins.  Antelope hunts are a great first hunt or family adventure.

Antelope hunts are based in several areas.  Most are in one of three areas outside the Fort Laramie, WY headquarters around Lusk and Chugwater.  Area 38 licenses are reasonable to draw and the season runs from October 5-31.  Area 11 has excellent odds of drawing and runs from October 1-31.  The third Area is 103 runs October 5-31.  The odds of drawing are usually near 100%.  We also hunt a large ranch in area 46 near Elk Mountain, WY where there are some great pronghorns. The season runs September 25-October 31.  The odds of drawing have been 100% in the special license drawing.  Area 50, near Elk Mountain, opens on September 16 and also has quality bucks.  Area 50 also has a muzzleloader season that opens September 1, where it is possible to take a record book buck.

Many of the ranches leased have excellent antelope in addition to mule deer and whitetails.

HUNTERS WHO WISH TO HUNT FOR ANTELOPE MUST APPLY FOR THE HIGHER PRICED SPECIAL LICENSE TO ENSURE SUCCESS IN THE LICENSE DRAWING.  Verification will be required.
