Our private ranches in southeast Wyoming have resident elk herds. Trophy quality is excellent.
Area 6 and 126 elk hunts are based from our Fort Laramie headquarters. The elk are hunted on some of our long-term leases, where we also hunt trophy mule deer. Unlike the other areas, Area 6 elk hunts can be done on a general license with easy draw odds. This private ranch has an increasing elk herd and relatively easy terrain. Bull quality is not as good as the other ranches, but licenses can be drawn with zero to one preference point.
Area 16 and 11 elk hunts are run out of our Elk Mountain location. Success has been high in both of these areas. The elk quality is good and the herds are increasing.
